Last year the ASC had a nomination from the Cricket Club Committee recommending that John Stirling be installed as a Life Member of the club due to his services to the Cricket section for over ten years. John has worked tirelessly as a Cricket Club Secretary, Committee Person and as Junior Cricket Coordinator a role he did largely by himself over the last few years. The vote from the ASC Executive was supported unnanimously and we offer our congratulations to him for being added to this illustrious group of people who have enhanced our great club with dedication and enthusiasm. Well done, John!
ABERFELDIE SPORTS CLUB LIFE MEMBERS:
The Sports Club bestows Life Membership on deserving individuals who have given a minimum of 10 years unpaid service in the promotion of the club's objectives (see 'ASC Statement of Rules' - Section 28.1).
Consideration for Life Membership is open to nominations by ordinary club members and must be lodged in writing (and seconded) to the Sports Club Executive. It should be delivered to the Secretary within sufficient time for review, but generally not less than seven days before the date fixed for the holding of each year's Annual General Meeting. Election shall be based on a three-fourths majority vote on prior recommendation from the committee. The Executive has the right to reject any applications that do not meet the specified criterion.
